  1. Primary Courses  – Monday 27th to Friday 31st July, 2020
  2. Membership Courses – Monday 3rd to 14th August, 2020
  3. Fellowship Research Methodology – Monday 10th to Friday 14th August, 2020
  4. Internal Medicine sub-specialty courses – Monday 17th to Friday 26th August, 2020.

COLLEGE Information

  1. Doctors as Educators programme held successfully in S/Leone
  2. West African Journal of Medicine office at no 6 Taylor Drive, off Edmound Cresecent, Yaba is now fully renovated and operational.
  3. The College 44th AGSM would hold in The Gambia between the 26th to 30th October, 2020
  4. Internal Medicine to make fellowship sub-specialty update courses in lieu of revision courses
  5. Electronic copies of proposal and Dissertation should now be submitted to the college 
  6. Tenure of all College appointments is now two years and renewable once

APPROVED BOT RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Election of Dr Sonny Kuku as the BOT chairman
  2. Appointment of a new head of administration for the college
  3. Sponsors of college prizes to make up the value to the current approved two thousand Dollars
  4. Endowment funds to be launched at college dinner during the AGSM
  5. Courtesy visit to ASGM host country President
  6. Two new college prizes have been approved – Dr Roger Makanjuola prize in Psychiatry and Dr Titilayo Ipadeola Prize in Haematology

BOT 2019 Report

The Board of Trustees deliberated on several issues and advices as follows:

1. The Board of Trustees Account: This should be made to become operational soon after this conference with an initial deposit of funds derived from 10% of the registration fees.

2. Chapter Investments:  Funds accruing from the Development Levy (N8.85m) should be invested forthwith in treasury bills on a 6 month turn-over basis.
