National Chairman's Quarterly Address

Distinguished Fellows and Members of our great Nigeria Chapter.
It gives me great pleasure to address you at the maiden edition of the “National Chairman’s Quarterly Address Series” put in place by the current administration in order to keep you informed of key activities of the Chapter.  I thank God almighty for the privilege granted us to be alive and also able to sustain interest in the Chapter activities.  I wish to identify with our members and fellows who lost their lives and those of their beloved ones to the COVID-19 pandemic and pray to God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest.

The new administration is less than 3 months old in office following the completion of handover processes on 22-01-2021. However, the National Officers Committee (NOC) has carried out a number of activities including holding a Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting, the inauguration of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and setting up three subcommittees to help advance the agenda of the administration. The NOC has equally sustained regular interactions with the Local Organizing Committee for the 44/45th Annual General & Scientific Meeting tagged Abuja 2021. I wish to commend the Akin Moses led-LOC for a good job which has kept our hope for a successful AGSM on course.  The Abuja AGSM shall be our maiden edition of a truly hybrid AGSM and we have made provision for both virtual and physical sessions. I will encourage all of you to register early enough to take advantage of early-bird registration.

The flyer for the event which I hope you had already received is presented below in case you are yet to receive it.

Given the fact that the forthcoming AGSM shall be our first truly hybrid conference, we should anticipate some challenges. However, we believe that they would not be things that we cannot handle except that they would certainly cause some delay and discomfort.  I wish to appeal to all of you for your patience and understanding anytime we encounter such incidents.

We are equally counting on your goodwill and support to ensure that the registration exercise is carried out on time. I will request that you all endeavor to register on time to ease the logistics of putting people into the physical and virtual aspects of the program.  We are committed to a hitch-free exercise.

Here is the registration fee schedule and we look forward to fellows and members registering on time.

In my new year address, I solicited your cooperation and appeal to you to pay up your annual dues early to enable us to minimize the rapid loss in value of the Nigeria Naira. I wish to express my appreciation to those that heeded my call and paid.  I wish to acknowledge the fact that some of you encountered some difficulties with the payment process. This has been ratified and I hope no one goes through such an experience gain. We still have a large number of fellows who are yet to pay their 2021 annual dues and I wish to further appeal to you to pay before the AGSM. To access the Chapter website http://wacpng.com and effect your payment.

I look forward to seeing that we take advantage of the early bird registration and also turn out in large numbers for the AGSM.

I wish us all God’s abundant blessing in the Easter period.

Dr. Jeremiah Aboi Madaki.

National Chairman and VP-Nigeria.

Reading this just recently, but it is a great idea. It might be helpful if there is a prominent pointer to this chairman's series on the home page. Well done!
